Is There a Really Intense Urge to Respond?
I think that can happen when it's like an email and at least in that situation, you have a little bit more time to decide how you want to respond. I think it happens a lot too in just interpersonal conversations with people. If somebody says something that maybe you interpret as being disrespectful or they say something that makes you angry, sometimes in that moment it can feel like a crisis. And there can be a really intense urge to respond immediately.
