To Stay - A Novel About Love

Beauvoir's novel to stay shows the dangers of an open relationship. The woman in the onship responds to the threat of her lover's desire for the other woman by trying to wrap her head around that desire. She imagines what it's like to be in love with the woman herself. They actually end up having a physical relationship themselves, but it's unclear whether it's coming from a genuine place of desire or just like a possessive place.
