The Cultural Issue of Nicotine Addiction

Nicotine does have an addictive potential as do a lot of legal drugs like caffeine and alcohol. Because they're so popularly used, caffeine and alcohol is, and so abundant, the policymakers have approached them in a much more rational way by emphasizing ways to make using these drugs less harmful. But I think this is a cultural issue. This is maybe almost, like I say, a puritanical issue where there are certain kinds of drugs that are somehow off limits.
