The Importance of Ending Fossil Fuels
The average American carbon footprint is 17 tons of CO2 per year; in Europe, it's about 7 tons. It's definitely possible to have a high living standard and a much lower carbon footprint. I think that ending fossil fuels by 2030 is an unrealistic goal. If we're going to invest GDP in large sums of money, we should be building as many nuclear reactors as we can.
