It's a performance issue, but I think it's also just like maintenance. Like metal doesn't metal is a 64 bit thing. You're ripping out the legacy stuff. The problem is when you rip out the legacystuff, you take stuff people are using with it. And so the, you know, this is going to be Apple's good at transitions.
