Neuroaxial Anesthesia - Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension
The third neurologic disorder we'll cover today is idiopathic intracranial hypertension. The course of it is generally benign, but these patients can have optic nerve atrophy or blindness down the road. Some intrathecal catheters have been described not only as analgesic modality for labor, but also as a therapeutic way to remove some CSF from these patients that temporarily relieve their headache.
