The Importance of Strategy in Entrepreneurship
I'm a big fan of people actually trying to have some sort of plan for the future. And so, and get paradoxically, if you sort of do a discounted cash flow analysis of any of these companies, most of the value is very far in the future. So I think one of the systematic mistakes people make is to overvalue growth because that's what can be measured in the here and now. They undervalue durability, which is more qualitative, but I think far more important variable.
