We're headed for at least potentially a great simplification. Simplification is the downslope of a century plus of intensive complexification based on energy. But those communities, and you could talk about countries that simplify first because it's the right long term thing to do. In the meantime, they're going to be out competed by communities that don't. And maybe they will have some learnings and adaptations that will serve them in the longer run when we just ride high in the super organism for a while longer.
