How to Be a Better Writing Teacher
If students can repeat all sorts of grammar rules and aces, but they can't actually write a complete sentence or compose a strong paragraph, then teaching them all those grammar rules and skills is really a waste of our time. So if you don't have a writing curriculum, just make sure that you are keeping the bulk of your writing time focused on walking students through the writing process. Consider joining us inside the Stellar Literacy Collective for third, fourth, and fifth grade teachers. The membership site also includes pretty much everything you need to teach writing as well.
