The Great Act of God in Christ
Much of the Book of Romans has been about God's welcome expressed in Christ. The welcoming of one another needs to be understood in terms of the great act of God in Christ, says Paul. This action in Christ achieves both the fulfillment of God's ancient promises to Israel and as a result allows for the Gentiles to enter into the enjoyment of the blessing and the mercy of God.
