What's the P of Persistence in the Cloud?
The two nations states that allegedly have been targeting the cloud, I would say would be Chinese threat actors and Russian threat actors. In terms of their end goal and what they're trying to do, usually it's some form of espionage and some form of just, they just sort of sit there on the system. These attackers just trying to have credentials sit on the network for a long time. And then they use the cloud in that way because there's so many different persistence mechanisms in the cloud which allow them to stay in the environment.
