What I Learned About Black Kids in Middle School
A lot of the people i interviewed weren't white. I didn't have the kind of diversity that reflects the country now, especially the younger generation. And again, it was really ortant to me to be able to figure out what was universal and what wasn't. For black kids, between the ages of ten and 13 is when you have the big discrepancy in school age for how they're treated differently from white kids.
