Daughter of Earth Is a Radicalizing Text
It's quite interesting that she did manage to become a global sort of persona on the left. That was part of what always surprised me in reading Daughter of Earth, especially given her modest background and the fact that Daughter of Earth portrays that it's a bit like Steinbeck's Grapes of Wrath. I think shapes her in such a deep way that that's part of what I identified with her. Thank you for that.
