Diabetes - What's the Future of Diabetes?
50 years from now if you walk into a doctor's office with elevated glucose and you're diagnosed with diabetes what do you think the treatment is going to be like? Well I'm tempted to say that we were failed if people are still walking in with elevated glucose levels. We would have hoped to be in a much better position of identifying those who are at greatest risk based on their genetics and other risk factors. Getting in there early would save an effective strategies to reduce their risk and we'd know that lifestyle and some therapeutics can be very effective at doing that.
