How to Write a Secondary World Fantasy

When you are inspired by another culture, the chances are that you will make someone angry and you have to own and accept that. So what you have to do when you're trying to make this decision is to look at the context of the thing that you are appropriating. If it's not going to be enhanced by it, and if it's getting in your way, that's when you really start looking at moving to a secondary world.
