Do People Value Their Own Personal Experiences More Than Facts in Politics?

In politics, do people take their own personal experiences more seriously than facts? People think that there's this idea that facts are king and facts matter m. But in reality, personal experiences are much more effective. The reason, i would argue, is because facts can be questioned and countered. Thereare things that are harder to take away from somebodyand so that's why i argue that this is much more convincing when they're talking to their political adversaries.
