The Benefits of Investing in a Low Volatility Portfolio

Low volatility stocks typically don't participate in the upside when markets snap back, right? And so we've all talked about market timing and how hard it is to do that. But yet if we are going to say, well, we want investors to downshift into low volatility, well, when do they upshift back into market weighted portfolios, for example? That's a hard decision to make because you got to get it right twice. The reason to look at low volatility stocks in an environment like this is because of the de-risking opportunity that it presents.
