How Gatekeeping Has Evolved Over Time
The most common way I see the word gatekeep brought up on social media is when a random person typically a girl Post a video on TikTok and all the comments under it are begging for her to tell them Where she got a certain garment or sometimes her entire outfit from. They go stop gatekeeping. Like if they don't share the name of a certain product one time I saw it with a girl who posted this really beautiful 35 millimeter video of a trip She took somewhere where everyone in the comments was calling her a gatekeeper for not sharing the model of camera She used to film the video. And then we can kind of do a little assessment of how it's evolved over time.
