To judge the quality of a relationship by its length of time, i think is can be perverse. You can have a relationship that might be brief, relatively, and it be incredibly important to you, life changing. And compared to some one else who has a forty year relationship, and it doesn't make you a better person in any way. If anything, it makes you a worse person. But this comes down to the point of being inclusive, about making it safe for people to have their own experiences and approaches to life and love.
