Athena Chokes and Dies

Athena Chokes and Dies is the debut novel of Rebecca Minkoff. It's about a woman who steals her best friend's unfinished manuscript for her next book. She ends up submitting it to publishers under her own name, passing herself off as vaguely Chinese American. The author says she draws on personal experience in writing this satire.
