Warren Grace and the FBI
If he worked with the government, cooperated with the FBI, and testified truthfully, he would be grounded further reductions in sentencing. The FBI took over the case and followed Warren's charges in a federal court where they had control. On May 31, 2002, Warren played guilty to the gun and drug charges,. He was released to a halfway house to work undercover with Agent Skinner and the FBI while awaiting his sentencing. And just like that, his 40-year term dropped down to 30. How well the case was built against Smith and Poindexter, and how well he testified would ultimately lead to a greater reduced sentence.
