The Lust of the Flesh, the Lust of the Eyes and the Pride of Life
All of us face our eve moment or adam moment. Scholars point out it's not a coincidence that these three temptations line up, right? The lust of the flesh is good for food, the lust of the desires of the eyes is pleasing to the eye, the pride of life, or desirable for gaining wisdom. These three temptations are at the core of all temptation. And so we always need to keep our eyes wide open."
