The Importance of Order in Writing

The order in which you present things becomes really, really important. It's very easy to send them down the wrong path if you choose the wrong starting point. You don't need to sit there staring at that blank space for 10 weeks trying to come up with the perfect first line. Just start writing. I can't remember the last time and it's probably never that the first chapter I wrote for a book actually survives the editing process and is the first chapter in the actual book.
