The Effects of Fear on the Brain
Scientists have studied the ways that disgust versus fear manifest and us physiologically, right? Yeah. It's a really cool study where an eye tracking technique called pupilometry was used. So generally speaking, if someone has a fear response, their pupil will increase in size. A disgust response causes the pupil size to decrease. We want our brains to accurately interpret when our bodies are unsafe.
