The Importance of Mentoring
Sometimes someone comes into my office without having a meeting scheduled and I want to achieve the best outcome of that meeting. That's quite a day. Who was your first mentor and what did you learn from him or her? Because my father died very young I always looked to father figures, people that inspired me. A key person was the founder of EMG, Mr. Alfred, Transvena Alfred who accepted me to become a shareholder in his touring car team which run the Mercedes factory entries. He is still running this team in his early 80s today. Somebody that I massively respect for what he's done and the lessons I learned from him.
