The Power of Writing
I have this passage here from a Paris review interview that was published in 1978. It perhaps could be the thing we leave. Well, one thing you've done over and over again, no matter the mood, was sit down at your desk and begin to write. There must be pitiless about this matter of mood. In a sense, the writing will create the mood. And somehow the activity of writing changes everything or appears to do so. Sometimes going for a bicycle ride does same thing.
