Decentralization and the Metaverse

In august, ariana grande's voice and digital likeness headlined a fortnight virtual show. Van avatars danced and floated inside bubbles above a specially designed candy pink themed landscape. There was merchandise for sale, including icon skins, just like the virtual ariana fortnight is one example of an environment designed for everyone to participate in. Internet idealists hope the metavers will be able to do the same without one company being in control.
