A biblical marriage is the least oppressive, abusive and misogynistic thing you could possibly imagine. It's completely harmonious and balanced like there's nothing more complimentary and beautiful than that. So shouldn't family members of a woman who's in this patriarchal arrangement feel relieved about the fact that this man is devoted his life to following the perfect man? Absolutely. We're not talking your husband doesn't do the dishes or he's not your girlfriend or he doesn't make you feel heard because you hear that stuff a lot. But we're talking real abuse.
