What Are the Physical Attributes of Assault Weapons?

Before the assault weapons ban, not many of these guns were sold. They were made primarily for law enforcement, military. After the attack, there were as many as 500 separate companies, essentially all making the same gun. And it had been continuously improved by all of these 500 companies, because everybody soved more lethal was lethal.
