Leaders can always delegate responsibility, but never accountability. Being accountable allows us to look objectively and critically at the results of a decision. It's nearly impossible to truly own an action if you aren't clear why you're taking it. If you fully own your decisions, you will better be able to explain reasons behind them.
Rich draws upon 20+ years of experience as a Navy SEAL Officer where he completed more than 13 overseas deployments – 11 of which were to Iraq and Afghanistan. Through his career, he has achieved multiple leadership positions – to include the Commanding Officer of a Navy SEAL Command.
