The Funky House talks about trans substantiation, the belief that upon being blessed, bread and wine does physically change into the body and blood of Christ during mass. The Catholic Church has not yet made an official statement on these events. Pope John Paul II was sympathetic with the children, but did not consider this a miracle or didn't declare it as such. It seems like the view of the church depends on whichever pope is currently in power.
