Freud's the Double

Freud looks to the theoretical framework around the double devised by otto rank in 19 14. Hoffman is so importanttly uncanny that he is mentioned again for his novel, the devil's sir ow. Freud also offers a meta psychological explanation of the continued relevance of the double. Its influence is reactivated in a lat stage of the ego's development as a critical agency develops out of the ego and stands over against the rest of the ego.
