Is CZM a Good Choice for Laser Cooling?
CZM was the first unit defined by defining a constant of nature. It's got large frequency because if there's anything that messes you up, it'll be a smaller fraction. Being so heavy means that at a given temperature, the atoms are going more slowly. They've got a very low ionization potential as it doesn't take much energy to pull the electron off. CZM is one of the best atoms for laser cooling.
