If we were facing a 50% death rate, i don't think there wuld be any question that we would stay away from each other for a while. If it were a death rate of one person on the planet will die if everybody doesn't totally change their lives, i think most people would agree that it's not worth it. But collectively, our society is making the choice to ban hugs in order to keep a very, very few people safe. For me, it's a question of, ok, how many people and how important are hugs?
