IV Magnesium for Severe Asthma in the Emergency Department

IV magnesium is recommended by just about all of the guidelines actually, not only in Canada, but also in the US and overseas. The evidence of benefit for magnesium sulfate is really a very suboptimal. There have been 115 patients in three randomized trials to date.
