The Marxist Doctrine - Free Labor

The idea that work would be real play was the doctrine of the utopian socialists. But we must ask what does it matter? What difference does it make if I work with the most damned seriousness if the work doesn't secure my survival? Well Marx has an answer for this. He tells us in the English translation page 611 that when we say that quote labor becomes attractive work, the individual self realization, this in no way means that it becomes near fun, near amusement. Really free working such as musical composing is at the same time the most damned serious and intense exertion.
