The church rushed to market itself to these new social realities. The fertile miteological conversations that had been shaping uro america before world war two are set aside in the rush to the prosperous new world of suburbia. At the same time, europe was confronted by a different reality. And i think we lead ourselves astray when we trumpet post modernity without understanding the social sources of its life. It is not so much a philosophy as a deep disenchantment with what goes on in europe.
