Cardamandua, the queen of brigantia was overthrown by her husband venutius. She took up with his former squire velocatis and proclaimed him king. The roman military were sent to aid cartemandua in a bid to stop civil war. But it wasn't easy for them as they had no choice but to stay on their side.
