Labor Hoarding Is a Real Thing
The labor hoarding thing kind of makes sense to me because I think there were a lot of companies that were burned after they didn't lay offs. And then as the pandemic slowed down a little bit, they really struggled to get people back in the door. So intuitively, it makes sense. It's not even like you want the best person or the right person. You just need people. They don't want to have to go through that. That's also part of reason why we're seeing the CPI number.
