Insect the us. Has become increasingly dependent on mineral imports from developing countries in recent decades, and this trend is likely to continue. The real problem of mineral supplies lies not in basic physical suf ency, but in the political economic issues of access terms for ex exploration and exploitation. And if you've got a screwed up government, or a country with too many people, and they're all fighting with each other, then that just makes it incrementally more difficult for us to get in that country and steal their minerals.
