The Legacy of Murder

The case of Igor and Victor Perov inspired two copycat killers in 2011. Artium Anna Frief and Nikita Leakin, now known as the Academy maniacs, murdered six people using a mallet and a knife. They were caught after their uncle discovered a video of them killing a woman on his video camera. In 2013 Artium was sentenced to life in prison and Nikita was given 24 years.
