The Philosophy of Behaviorism

Behaviorism is the idea that everything can be understood from behavior alone. It has this idea that thoughts probably don't exist because there's no way of me actually seeing your thoughts or your internal states and therefore I'm going to assume that they're not there. And then they came up with a couple of things. One of them is classical conditioning. This is by Pavlov, who did lots of experiments on animals. So why don't we limit ourselves to what we can actually see because that's scientific?
