The Milgram Studies

I wrote a section in civilized to death about the famous Milgram studies. He wanted to understand how easily people could be convinced to torture other people. The study has been spread through society as evidence that people are at heart horrible and willing to inflict incredible pain on one another if they're told to. It feeds into this neo-Habzian view of humans as primitive chimpanzee like monsters if the protection of civilization is taken away well I looked into the study when I was researching civilized to death.
