LaRon Schultz is back on the podcast. My name is Beau Sanders and I want to welcome you to Home Rude Christianity. Now LaRon Schultz is one of our favorites. And he's back partly to respond to some of the controversy he stirred up the last time he was on with Barry Taylor and Tripp's very busy garage, talking about his unique evolutionary take on atheism and the development of religion. The other reason he's back is to promote an explosive new venture by Syndicate Theology. Do yourself a favor, go over to their website, syndicatetheology.com it's not a book review journal it's not a standard peer review it's not a theology and culture journal that's trying to make theology relevant to a broader audience it's kind of an online forum for scholars to comment on each other's work and explore big ideas outside of the highly scripted spaces of the Contemporary Academy. You're gonna want to check this out. We have a bunch of crossover projects with them coming up. They have been fantastic to connect us with authors and we are excited about their format that they use for these symposiums. So if you go over in the show notes to the link I provided for the current symposiums coming up and you click on Laron's book, you're going to see the format and the people that are going to be responding to him and you can sign up to be notified when that symposium is about to happen. So go over to syndicatetheology.com to check that out. And so we have lots of upcoming opportunities for you to connect. The first is we have a summer school coming up in June and July called Living Options in Christian Theology. It's going to be a wonderful six week conversation. Very excited about making that happen. This coming Friday in two days from right now in Minnesota, Tripp and the Dean, Philip Clayton, are going to be in Minnesota for a live podcast. in the Twin Cities to launch the Twin Cities School of Theology. It's this May 1st. If you're going to be over in the Twin Cities, make sure to sign up and get over there. It's going to be a fantastic time. Some of the guests will be Barbara Holmes. Obviously Paul Capits is back on the podcast. We love Paul Capits. And a whole cast of characters are gonna be there to celebrate the launch of the Twin Cities of Theology. If you're going to be in Northern California in May and you're planning on going to the N.T. Wright lecture at William Jessup, N.T. Wright is going to be in Northern California in Sacramento for a lecture called Paul for Tomorrow's World. I am going to be there and I would like to go out and discuss it with you afterwards. Cynthia Shaper-Elliott, who you're going to hear in a couple weeks on this podcast, is going to be my co-host for that debrief session as we talk about Paul for tomorrow's world. Cynthia has graciously agreed to come over and get that conversation started. So we'll be putting up details, make sure to sign up to be there, and we'll look forward to interacting with you if you are going to be in Northern California. The last thing is we want to thank all of you who have joined the support community at the Acolyte, Deacon, Elder and Bishop level. We appreciate the support and look to all that that is going to enable us to do for us to connect with you as we continue to put out this audiological goodness for free and also open up more opportunities for you to participate and for us to connect with you. We are very excited about that. If you have not joined the support community, please consider doing so. As always, we just have one request. If you like what you hear, please don't forget to share the brew.
