How to Sell a Spread

With an option strategy, if you get into a spread, you have defined risk. You know exactly how much you could lose if it goes against you. And there's very little worry about it that then it just then it truly becomes a numbers game. The further out of the money or away from where the underlying is trading, the higher your probability of success. However, in exchange for that because there's always an exchange, you always got to give a whole thing. If you have a high probability of success, then you're going to give up the potential profit and make less when you win.
