Foreign Aid in the Third World
A week ago, I returned from a 10-day tour of Egypt starting and ending in Cairo. It is even more disgusting and festering heat than it was already. The idea that we in the UK would pour hundreds of millions into this as reparations is beyond bizarre. Mike says the definition of foreign aid is poor people in rich countries donating to rich people in poor countries. Just say no. Roger says, great Britain is viewed in the third world as no more than a convenient piñata. Jamie says, how much do we get for inventing cricket? Very, very good question, Jamie.
