The Separation of Exhortation and Doctrine

Maitian was dealing with a Presbyterian church that wanted to divorce doctrine from life. Christianity was being maintained as a life and the doctrine is indifferent. Here you have the separation of exhortation and doctrine. And a failure in one, the writer of the Hebrew is saying is a failure in the other.
