The US Fleet Losses 290 Ships in the South China Sea
Aircraft carriers are very hard to replace. China would lose a lot of equipment also, including in the unsuccessful invasions many prisoners of war on Taiwan. These losses would likely be large enough that they might destabilize the Chinese Communist powers regime. And one of our hopes is that the Chinese will recognize this and it will act to make them more cautious.
