"I was 22 or 23 living the life of a 50 year old guy going to a dirt big bar every night and just getting fucking hammered," he says. "Being a regular at a place like that really kind of gives you a perspective on how easy it is to fall into a bad community" He adds: "You know, if you grow up in the projects and you have to join a gang for safety or whatever, you know, you understand how people end up in a situation they shouldn't be in."
