Creating Moments and Memories

i've always been a cheap skate. I griup in a family that was very frugal with our money. But if you think about life as a task of creating memories and moments, i think you devote your resources a little differently. We may spend a couple of thousand dollars going on vacation to a nice place, but then why am i being a cheap skate with the souvenir at the souvenir shop that can remind my kids of where they came from? That thing set on her bad for six months,. before it finally got demoted to second teer, you know, from a new stuffed animal.
